Communion meals in Agde

Communion meals in Agde

A family lunch that brings together grandparents, cousins and friends, without anyone spending the day cooking.

Group specialist, 30 to 60 guests

A family gathering that deserves better than an improvised buffet

First communion, solemn communion or profession of faith: in each case the family travels, sometimes from far away, and these gatherings are rare. Hosting forty people at home means weeks of preparation. La Marina takes on communion meals for 10 to 60 guests in Agde.

The menu is chosen in advance, in a format that suits grandparents and children alike. The service leaves time for conversation, photographs and the presentation of gifts to the child being celebrated.

Your communion meal

  • 10 to 60 guests at one long table or linked tables
  • Children's menu and adult portions for teenagers
  • Cake or tiered cake brought in by you
  • Guest of honour seated with the photographs in mind
  • Riverside terrace in season
  • Budget per head fixed at the quote
A lunch with time to catch up

A lunch with time to catch up

A communion meal usually runs to three hours. We space the courses so guests can move between tables, which is precisely the point of these gatherings. The child being celebrated is seated where everyone can see them, for the photographs as much as for the presents.

Cousins and children of different ages

Cousins and children of different ages

A communion often gathers children from six to sixteen. We provide a children's menu for the youngest and an adult portion for teenagers, who no longer want a children's plate. A cousins' table works well, as long as it stays within sight of the parents.

The cake or tiered cake can be brought in, kept chilled and presented with dessert. Plan a moment for the gifts, usually before dessert, and a clear space for the group photograph: on the terrace the late-lunch light is well suited to it.

Frequently asked questions

What budget should we plan per person?
It depends on the menu and whether drinks are included. We cost two or three options after your call, with an adult rate and a children's rate.
Can we bring the tiered cake?
Yes, we keep it chilled and present it with dessert.
Is there a menu for teenagers?
They generally take the adult menu, often with a simpler main. We discuss it when you book.
Are Sundays available?
Yes, Sunday lunch is the most requested slot for communions. Book early, especially in spring.
