A christening brings together three generations, often with small children and relatives who have travelled far. The meal has to account for both: adults who want to take their time, children who cannot sit still for two hours. La Marina hosts christening meals for 10 to 60 people in Agde.
We plan a children's table within sight of the parents, a menu suited to their age, and a pace of service that leaves the adults time to talk. The riverside terrace lets the youngest stretch their legs without leaving the field of view.
The ceremony takes place in the morning and the meal follows around half past twelve or one. We agree the arrival time with a margin, because photographs outside the church always overrun. A welcome drink absorbs staggered arrivals so the service does not start too early.
Seating children together near their parents works better than spreading them out. The children's menu is shorter and served faster, avoiding the gaps between courses where tension builds. Tell us the number and ages when booking.
You can bring the sugared almonds, the christening cake or a tiered cake: we keep everything chilled and handle presentation at the moment you want. Plan space for presents too, and a corner for family portraits if you would like one.
